Railfanning at Gold Bar and Edmonds, Washington

08/26/2011 - I was out on a hike on Bridal Veils Falls, which I got video of that and it was a good hike. Although it is 4 miles round trip and the elevation gain is very steep a few times, the views of the Mountains and the Falls is something that you can't find roadside on US 2. You can even hear the horn echoing as you are hiking uphill on the trail. The Bridal Veils Falls is a great hike and I recommend hiking on that course. Anyways, on my way back home, I was able to catch at least 1 train during my trip back. 0:32 - BNSF Westbound Z-CHCSSE-01-26 Stack Train 08/28/2011 - I decided to spend a proper morning on a proper railfanning with my friend Trevor and we got some good catches under the mixture of fog and sun. 1:36 - Amtrak Cascades Train #510 (P42DC 157, NPCU F40 90253) 3:33 - Amtrak Cascades Train #513 (NPCU F40 90251 (Nice K5LA Horn), EMD F59PHI 469) 6:05 - Amtrak Empire Builder Train #7 (P42DC 83 and 150) 8:14 - BNSF Northbound M-PASVBT-01-28 (Pasco, WA - Vancouver, BC) Canadian Manfest Train 10:40 - Sounder Commuter Train (Seattle Mariners) Home Run Special (F59PHI 910, Bombardier Cab Car 304) 12:56 - Last Train for the day for us. BNSF Southbound M-EVEVAN-01-28 (Everett to Vancouver, WA) Manifest Train.
