BNSF/Sounder/Amtrak at Edmonds, WA on 5-16-08

Well, Washington State faced their first heat wave this month on May 16, 2008. Although, the detector south of of the platform (MP 17.1) said it was 62 degrees, it was on a shade. The Acutal temperature was 87 degrees instead of 62 degrees. Anyways, I was able to catch 2 Northbound Sounder Commuter Trains, Amtrak Empire Builder #8 with P32-8BWH #507 (uncommon to see) and a BNSF Autorack train. All were shot at Edmonds, Washington. Train #2: SDRX Train #1700 with Cabcar #111 (Arrived 15 minutes early) Train #3: Amtrak Train #8 (Eastbound Empire Builder) with GE P32-8BWH #507. (Arrived 15 Minutes Late) Train #4 - A BNSF autorack highball through Edmonds with C44-9W 4579. BTW: To make it unusual, Sounder 1700 and 1702 came before Amtrak Empire Builder, which is totally bizzard because Amtrak Empire Builder usually come between the 2 Sounder Commuter Trains.... read more
